Scientists study the phenomenons surround the gaming industry at the university. The Student Union is a ten minute walk from my front door. I stroll through the university to walk to the casinos along the Las Vegas Strip. I walk to my front door from the airport in 40 minutes. The experts and I discuss the facts. Gaming is down. Why travel to Las Vegas if you don’t have to travel to Las Vegas only to find yourself paying hidden resort fees, parking garage fees in the resort casinos, and then there are the prices of the restaurants near the Las Vegas Strip. The money adds up. There are indian casinos in Palm Springs, south of Los Angeles. Many of our tourists drive in from Southern California, but they have been complaining about the hidden costs to their travel, especially parking. Many businesses are making people pay for parking. This is a hidden cost that fees deceptive. People read about Las Vegas on social media. They share stories by word of mouth. Vegas has no integrity for tourists. That is the word. Why pay to be deceived? There was a mad gunman shooting tourists. The government has raised taxes on various levels: local, state, and federal. Visitors want to pay for fun, freedom, food, but Venice Beach in California is free. Disneyland, Universal Studios, and the San Diego Zoo are famous around the world. Why come to Las Vegas, Nevada? The answer that often comes to my mind reminds me of the Sixties, “Sex, Drugs, Rock and Roll.” The examples set may easily be recreational marijuana, swimming pool parties within walking distance of a strip joint, and concert events with musical artists at venues like Life is Beautiful and Electric Daisy Carnival. I have been writing articles and books about Las Vegas, but now the marijuana leaders want me to head home to write about the importance of the marijuana industry in the Emerald Triangle and the relationship that must grow between the Northern California marijuana businesses and the cities in Nevada. A study on how Northern California’s marijuana businesses can help Nevada may save Las Vegas. Gaming revenues are down. Many casinos are on sale. Shopping malls in Las Vegas are selling.
